SCHEDULE CHANGE: We are sorry that Sara Hilton is unable to join us due to health reasons. We have added to our schdule Carol Rottman. Her presentation is entitled Creating Memoir: Telling Your Story on Paper. If you were at the Calvin College Festival of Faith and Writing, you may know that her session had standing room only. We look forward to having Carol at Maranatha and will be involving Sara Hilton in a future conference.
AUGUST 31 is the deadline for many Maranatha opportunities. Make sure you are registered and have sent in contest submissions, optional advanced submissions for Holly Miller's review, and if you have reserved a spot in the advanced class with Holly Miller and Dennis Hensley, your sample is also due. See information under their names, advance submissions, or on the contest. We expect record-breaking registration and the number of writers we can accommodate limited. NEW FOR 2010:
Writing Music---Jack Schrader, arranger, composer, conductor, vocalist, and organist/pianist, joins us with sessions on writing and publishing music. This is your opportunity to consult with an expert editor and learn about publishing your music.
Continuing Courses--4 hours of instruction in your area of interest, including a special track to bring beginners up to speed.
Advanced Instruction--Holly Miller and Dennis Hensley will offer the more experienced writer an extended session to provide the guidance needed to perfect and sell your manuscript. Space will be limited, and you must reserve your spot in advance. Details are included on their pages on this site.
Young Writers' Day--While young writers are always welcome to attend for the entire conference, Tuesday will include a program especially planned for high school and college students. They will experience the basic information and inspiration needed to publish their materials.
